Cachet Bar & Grill has some of the best Cuban food in Fort Myers. Located near the Edison Mall, the restaurant offers Cuban specialties like six- to ten-inch Cuban sandwiches, roast pork, and rice with black beans. After dinner on weekends you can dance at the Latin Night Club. There is a full bar, and a smoking and non-smoking section. The restaurant is open every day; the club is open on Fridays and Saturdays. Dress is casual, and reservations are not necessary.
Dancing and food is what you will find at the Groove Street Grille & Discotheque. Every Friday and Saturday night, the older crowd enjoys a mix of dance music from the 70s, 80s and today; Wednesday nights feature live music from local bands; and Thursdays are dollar drink night. The Grille offers a menu of American classics, like graceland chicken and the happy days burger. The club is located at the corner of College Parkway and Winkler Avenue, south of downtown Fort Myers.
The Bottom Line is considered the largest gay entertainment complex in Southwest Florida, and certainly one of the wildest. The nightclub is gay-owned and run, and offers different entertainment every night of the week. Tuesday is unofficial straight night, while Saturdays offer retro dance music. The complex has six bars, with drag shows starring Divas Miss Vanessa, Sierrah Fox and others. There are drink specials, foam parties, and pool tournaments. The club is handicapped accessible and has a women's only section. No credit cards accepted, but there is an ATM.

The Veranda is considered by most to be one of the best restaurants in Fort Myers. Originally built as two homes in 1902, they were joined by a kitchen and a tropical courtyard and re-opened in 1978 as The Veranda. Dining in the courtyard is relaxing and romantic, surrounded by lush foliage, a waterfall and a goldfish pond. Reservations are highly recommended, and dress is business casual.
Lido Cafe, this restaurant and nightclub offers food, drink and dancing Wednesday through Sunday nights in downtown. Reservations are accepted for the VIP room on Saturday nights, or you can try your luck outside behind the velvet ropes. Wednesday night is the industry party, with no cover and drink specials from 9pm-midnight. Thursday nights offer Latin music. A live South Beach DJ spins music on Fridays and Saturdays. Proper attire is required, no jeans for men.
To see local and national bands, head to the Indigo Room, located in downtown Fort Myers. Live Band Saturday offers mostly alternative rock. Take in some local amateur talent on Wednesday's "Need 2 Be Heard" no-cover open mic night. The crowd changes depending on the night, but things usually pick up around 11pm. The bar has more than 100 varieties of beer, including domestic, imports and micros. Inside, there are red brick walls and pool tables, and occasionally food from a nearby Mexican restaurant. Cover charge is USD2 on Fridays and USD5 on Saturdays.
Shooters Waterfront Café USA is one of the most popular restaurants in Fort Myers. Located right on the water, you can watch the sunset as you try seafood, steak or prime rib. There are also a few vegetarian options and an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet daily. If you are in town on Sunday, do not miss the brunch buffet, which includes coffee, tea, sodas, Mimosas or Bloody Marys. Lunch or early dinner are the times to savor the food, because evenings are when Shooters comes alive with live music and drink specials.
At Club 1527, located in downtown Fort Myers, the DJ plays hip-hop, techno, and Top 40 dance music and the dance floor gets crowded. The club is named after its address on Hendry Street, in the heart of the entertainment district. Those who can't get into the club must wait outside. Tuesday is College Night, where a college ID waives the cover charge and Wednesday is Ladies' Night.

Naming Sky Bar had to be easy. One glance up supplies plenty of inspiration. The bar, located on the fourth floor above Peter's la Cuisine, is open air, providing breathtaking views of the sunsets over the Caloosahatchee River. The combination of picturesque views and dancing to Top 40 music brings out a mix of people, so you can dance, stargaze or both. Wednesday is Ladies Night and Thursday is Flip Night; if you call the coin flip correctly, your drink is free. There is a sandwich and appetizer menu available.
