The Fort Collins Municipal Railway is quite a famous tourist spot. The railway plies Fort Collins Birney Safety Car 21 that was one of four cars that ran in the city since 1919 till 1951. The cars have not been in operation since then. Now the car has been refurbished to good enough condition to operate. It now runs seasonally on weekends only. The Fort Collins Municipal Railway Society together with the Fort Collins Museum maintain and run this car to relive those good old days. You can also help maintain the trolley by volunteering and donating for its upkeep. You can also buy trolley themed items at their gift shop.
