Popularly known as the Somers Town House, the Elephant Hotel is spread over 1.67 acres (0.68 ha) of land. Built in honor of Old Bet, an elephant of Bailey which lost his life over a tour, it was said that Old Bet was burried in front of that structure. Currently owned by the Town, the Elephant Hotel is a landmark of the town and currently houses the Somers Town Hall. This place was also listed ont he National Historic Places and was visited by several visitors every year.
