»Spf 2015: Solo Performance Festival

March 31, 2015 7:30 PM

From a dystopian drama to a raucous drag salute to disaster flicks, this ninth edition of SPF, Theatre Off Jackson's one-person performance festival, covers all the entertainment bases. You'll want to put your seat backs in the upright and locked position when fabulous drag stewardess Sylvia O'Stayformore becomes your air hostess with the mostest for "Come Fly With Me", a salute to the unintentionally hilarious "Airport" movies of the '70s. In Sara Porkalob's "Dragon Lady", a 60-year-old grandma regales one lucky grandchild with the story of her secret past as a Filipino gangster, while the drama "Infinite Expectation of the Dawn" unfolds in a post-Civil War II America. There's also a night devoted to short works as part of this well-regarded Seattle solo theater series.
