Drama and comedy ensue when three different men, all former lovers of her mother and potentially Sophie's father, arrive to the Greek island Calicos, where the wedding is to take place. Mamma Mia! was an immediate hit after its West End premiere in 1999 and quickly made its way across the pond to Broadway theaters.

Slow Bird + The Velvet Teen
The BarbozaMarch 29, 2015 8:00 PM
925 East Pike Street
Seattle, WA 98122
This Santa Rosa, California indie trio was a West Coast secret until its debut album Out of the Fierce Parade was released in 2002. With the help of Death Cab for Cutie member Chris Walla, who produced the album, The Velvet Teen's first studio album was a national success. The band followed the album with a tour alongside well-established indie acts, Minus the Bear, Denali and Death Cab. In 2006, after the untimely death of drummer Logan Whitehurst, who founded The Velvet Teen with vocalist Judah Nagler, the band announced that it would go on making music. The group has continued to make its contemplative and emotional music, carrying The Velvet Teen forward with renewed energy.
