One of the city’s several parks, the Trollwood Park lies alongside the serene Red River at the northernmost part of Fargo. The land where the park stands was originally a farm; but neglect and mismanagement led to the farm being razed, and subsequently the nursing home on the property was razed as well. After the City of Fargo purchased it, on the condition that they would maintain the three cemeteries on the property, the land was transformed into a community gathering point. The presence of these cemeteries, however, led to the park earning the reputation of being haunted, and there have been several sightings of what are thought to be paranormal phenomena.
