Basement Transmissions is an underground venue for concerts and art exhibitions. The sparsely done white-washed venue is a hub for alternative rock musicians and creative thinkers. Virtually unknown to those who are not into this kind of music, Basement Transmissions was founded in 1998. Some of their previous lists are Expire, Spine, Mere Phantoms and Burrow Drive.
This theatre built by Warner Brothers is a 2,506-seat theater located in Erie. One Of Four Art Deco Movie Palaces, the Warner Theatre in Erie is a perfect place to catch a play or a musical. The Warner Theatre with its stunning design and classic elegance is considered by locals to be an important landmark. What adds to the venue's grandeur is the shiny Circular Gold and Silver Ceiling Image and the grand lobby. Once a movie theatre, this venue is used as a performance centre and accommodates over 2250 guests. The Warner theatre also serves as a venue for concerts, seminars, Broadway shows, and the Erie Philharmonic.
The Erie Civic Center Complex hosts many of the city's children's events, concerts, Broadway plays, and other entertainment. The Complex contains both the Warner and the Louis J. Tullio Arena. The 2250-seat Warner Theatre presents a number of events including concerts, seminars, and stage shows. It is home to the Erie Philharmonic, Erie Civic Music Association, and Lake Erie Ballet. The Warner's Grand Lobby is also often used for weddings and receptions. The Tullio Arena is home to Erie Otters Hockey, and has performances by such companies as Disney on Ice and the Harlem Globetrotters.
The Erie County Convention Center hosts concerts, Broadway shows, hockey, baseball, wrestling and ice shows in four different venues - The Warner Theatre, Jerry Uht Park, the Bayfront Convention Center and the Louis J. Tullio Arena. While stand up talk show hosts like Jerry Seinfeld have graced this center a lot of times, the historic Warner Theatre shows ballet, gospel, Broadway, plays and concerts. The Louis J. Tullio is home to The OHL Erie Otters, which have regular games lined up at this site. Watch out for the Motley Crue Carnival of Sins 2006.
