Tristate Veterans Community Alliance - Partnership Meeting
Montgomery Inn at the BoathouseMarch 04, 2015 3:00 PM
925 Riverside Drive
Cincinnati, OH 45202
The event will highlight ways for partners to get involved in Alliance activities, provide timely updates and also include time for social networking with beverages, appetizers and cash bar available.  Hope to see you there! Co-sponsored by the USO of Central and Southern Ohio The mission of the Tristate Veterans Community Alliance is to better align support for veterans and their families. Our vision is to make the Greater Cincinnati region a preferred location for former Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard service members and their families because the employers, veteran support organizations and existing veteran support network are aligned to welcome and seamlessly support them in their transition from military life to becoming active members of our community. The Alliance has an engaged, veteran-led board of directors as well as five active workgroups focusing on education, employment, coordinated access, peer mentorship and health, wellness and family support.  Many individuals in our region are active in the veteran cause and potentially supportive of the Alliance's mission, but dont have time to actively participate. The goal of this meeting will be to engage current and potential supporters to build support for the goals of the Alliance and its partners.

G. Love and Special Sauce
Bogart'sMarch 04, 2015 7:00 PM
2621 Vine Street
Cincinnati, OH 45219
During the 1990s, the American public fell in love with several acts that looked and sounded like they just emerged from a frat party. Blues Traveler, Dave Matthews Band and Hootie & the Blowfish were part of this movement, as was G. Love and Special Sauce. The group was formed in Philadelphia in 1992 and with a sound that pulls heavily from blues as well as jam rock, the band was perfectly at home with its other peers during their 1990s heyday. While some of these bands fell off or dissipated, G. Love and Special Sauce managed to stay relevant and change its sound with the evolving music community.
