The Nemo Grille operates out of a remolded 1850's-era house in Avon, Ohio, just outside Cleveland. The beautiful brick exterior leads to an equally attractive, intimate dining space. As one would expect from a restaurant with the same name as the captain from 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, the menu leans towards seafood, such as Seared Diver Scallops as well as Grilled Salmon. There's a variety of non-seafood entrées, like a classy Smoked Mac & Cheese which includes asparagus, chicken, and bacon. Vegetarians may find slim pickings apart from the salads and sides. Nemo Grille also offers a full bar with signature martinis and a huge wine list. - Marjorie Jensen

Although named partially for its address at 150 Jefferson Street, Jefferson 150 Southern Kitchen also takes inspiration and the second part of its name from the president the street was named for, Thomas Jefferson. The menu, for example, specifically describes Jefferson and his family as being at the forefront of adapting tomatoes for the kitchen. The menu is generally Italian-inspired, but not exclusionary; fusion dishes such as Spinach and Wonton Ravioli or American dishes like Classic Meatloaf are included on the menu. Entrées, called Blue Plates, include both salad and bread, and feature dishes like Mediterranean Crab-Stuffed Chicken Breast or Pork Chop Florentine. Vegetarians can enjoy pasta dishes like Noe Valley Vegetable Linguine. Jefferson 150 also includes a varied wine list and also serves specialty cocktails. -Marjorie Jensen
