In a building with the Solutec Corporation, Desert Hills Winery's award-winning selections include Sangiovese, Merlot, Portteus Vineyards Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Destiny Ridge Syrah.
The classic Italian wines available at Donitelia Winery include Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Pinot Grigio, Rosary Red, and White Sangiovese. The tasting room is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Three blocks from the Yakima Valley Museum, this late Victorian farmhouse was built by Horace M. Gilbert and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Furnished with period Victorian antiques, this home is a perfect example of life on an orchard in Yakima in the early 20th century. The house is managed and open for tours by the Friends of Gilbert Homeplace.
Open Tuesday through Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Sundquist Research Library and Archives houses over 6,500 historic regional photographs, 200 maps of the Valley, 73 recorded oral histories, bound copies of the Yakima Herald-Republic from 1890 to 1952, 1,100 linear feet of personal and local business papers, pamphlets, scrapbooks and other ephemera; 95 linear feet of newspaper clipping files, 125 linear feet of Yakima Valley Transportation Company records, 3,958 individual apple and other fruit labels used by local growers in marketing, 432 local television 1950s-1980s news report tapes, 1,200 general history reference books and periodicals, 1,500 books related to local history, and thousands of documents related to Yakima native and Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas.
The Yakima Area Arboretum is a 46-acre living museum and botanical garden that was created "to cultivate a greater knowledge and appreciation of native and adaptive plants in an atmosphere of beauty, inspiration, and relaxation." Its interpretive center houses the Wilma Belfield Walker Horticultural Library, Yakima Valley's only horticultural library. The Jewett Center features two meeting rooms.
The Yakima Valley SunDome is host to a plethora of events, from Basketball to Rodeo. A few hours outside Seattle, you will find this multi-purpose facility. The seating here is very accessible and comfortable, making it a great for viewing concerts and shows held here. This 6195 seater multi purpose arena has played host to a number of performances and sporting events over the years and also the WIAA/Dairy Farmers of Washington 1B, 1A, and 2A High School Basketball State Tournaments annually.

Wenatchee Confluence State Park is a 197-acre year-round camping park at the confluence of the Wenatchee and Columbia rivers. The North Confluence is urban and recreational, while the South Confluence is a wetland natural area. The park has sports fields, a roped-off river swimming beach, a boat launch and walking access to the Horan Natural Area.
A nine-acre evergreen oasis with nearly a mile of natural stone pathways through the gardens. You will have spectacular views, see towering cedars & firs, waterfalls and pools. The average time to tour the Gardens is one hour. Purchase plants for your own garden or as a gift.
Sheridan Vineyard have two branches, one in Woodinville, while the other in Zillah. Both play the same role and that is selling quality wines to its customers. It all started in 1996 for the owner, Scott, who with a small beginning has today become a pioneer in the wine business in Zillah.
Wineglass Cellars is a winery that celebrates the fun of drinking wine. Owned by David Lowe and his wife Linda Lowe, with their son Jeff, this family run affair is quite an experience. The winery hosts a number of regular wine events and shows. They have even won a few award for their wines. If you're really interested, you can even join their wine clubs to be a part of the celebration. Check their events schedule to see if you can catch their special gatherings like the Red Wine and Chocolate event, or the Sizzleworks Cooking School gathering or even the Thanksgiving in Wine Country celebration.
