The UNCF's "A Mind Is.." Gala is one of the signature fundraising events and one of the greater Greenville's premier social occasions. Formerly the Salute to Education Gala, it is hosted by sponsors from local corporations, civic groups and the faith community. Its purpose is to involve those who support the five UNCF-member colleges and universities located in the state of South Carolina and to encourage the participation of volunteers, public officials and others who believe in the UNCF mission of providing college access and opportunity to minitority youth.
