Neon Hitch Presents: The Yard Sale Tour
    Cat's CradleOctober 31, 2014 8:00 PM
    300 East Main Street
    Carrboro, NC 27510
Neon Hitch is an electropop singer based out of the UK. Commonly assumed to be a moniker, Neon Hitch is actually her birth-given name--one result of having been raised by hippie parents, she notes. She's lived a tumultuous life that includes growing up as a traveling trapeze artist, running away to India at age 16 and sharing a flat with pop vocalist trainwreck, Amy Winehouse. Eventually, Hitch returned to England, where she began her music career by performing and touring with popular British group, The Streets. Her electro-influenced songs are perfectly-tailored toward fans of glossy dance pop and have helped Hitch amass a popular following on several social media sites.

    Carrboro, NC 27510
Poet, rapper and producer George Watsky is known simply as Watsky. Based in San Francisco he earned international attention in 2006 when he was named the Brave New Voices International Poetry Slam Champion as well as the Youth Speaks Grand Slam Poetry Champion for his insightful take on political and social issues. Having once compared political slogans to pick-up lines heard in bars, Watsky has a knack for using comedy to highlight ridiculous and frustrating aspects of politics. His talent for poetry crossed over into music in 2009, when he produced and released his eponymous hip hop album. He has since continued to release albums and mixed tapes, such as 2010's Guilty Pleasures and 2011's A New Kind of Sexy, with his witty brand of comedy hip hop.
