For 35 years, Southwest Colorado has served as the host for the annual Colorado Symposium on Emergency Care (CSEC).  This year is no different and Southwest Colorado Community College is proud to present the symposium, May 14-17, 2015 in beautiful Durango, CO.  The planning committee has been working hard to provide an excellent array of training opportunities.  We thank you ahead of time for your continued support of and attendance at the symposium.  We believe that the planned schedule contiues to provide excellent continuing education in emergency medicine and have worked hard to bring in speakers that will provide new knowledge and techniques important for EMS providers to perform appropriate patient care.  This year's speakers have been chosen from those that have presented in the past as well as some new to this symposium. To see the brochure, copy and paste this link: http://www.pueblocc.edu/CSEC.pdf Several pre-symposium presentations will offer new certification for EMS providers in the Four Corner's region.  This year CSEC will be offering an EMS Wilderness Upgrade course.  The course will allow any existing EMS professional to upgrade to a Wilderness provider.  The course itself requires several days of online work prior to the actual classroom/outdoor training so participants will need to call for more information.  Registration for this course will end April 15th to allow for adequate time to receive materials and complete online work.  In addition to that pre-symposium presentation, CSEC will also be bringing back the Emergency Provider ACLS course which also has pre-course work that needs to be completed prior to class; as well as a 3-day Technical Rope Rescue (starting May 13th) and a PHTLS refresher course. You need purchase your ticket(s) through this site as an individual attendee or group/agency and then you will need to send each registration form to Troy via mail, email or fax so attendee can be placed in the presentations they have chosen. All individual orders must be paid for using a credit card; agencies sending multiple participants may request an invoice by using the "show other payment options" link listed below the "order now" button.  INVOICING OPTION IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR AGENCIES SENDING MULTIPLE PARTICIPANTS TO THE CONFERENCE. EARLY BIRD registration ends at 5 p.m. on April 30th.  At 5:01 p.m. the fee will increase and registrants WILL BE SUBJECT TO A 5.5% processing fee.  REGISTER EARLY TO AVOID HIGHER COSTS!!! If at any point you have questions, feel free to contact Troy at 970-247-2929 xt. 7206.
