The Old Scottish Rite Hospital is was originally established as the Scottish Rite Convalescent Home for Crippled Children. It basically functioned to serve the indigent lot of children, who were crippled or had been recovering post a surgery. The house site was swanked by six beds and was a rented cottage. After raising some funds, the hospital has striven its best to expand and currently possesses the space to house 18 patients at one time. The site has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Presently, the west wing is flanked by a full service bar, while the east wing brags of Solarium, which is a fine meeting place.
