A two and a half hour walk on a marked path (with blue and white signs) will lead you to the chapel of Notre-Dame de Socorri and its cemetery dedicated to victims of the 1833 and 1855 cholera epidemics. This is an easy walk since there is only a small 174-metre climb. Follow the ridge and admire the Bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and the shimmering colours of the surrounding countryside. The small white building was built in the 19th century and is unfortunately not open to the public at the moment. The statue of Notre-Dame de Socorri keeps careful watch over the entrance.
