From its modest beginning as a small art gallery, The Crimson Moon Cafe has slowly but gradually evolved into what the owner Dana Marie LaChance envisioned it to become, i.e. a melting pot for the music lovers in Dahlonega. Although the venue does not hold more than 150 spectators at a time, the artists and bands who have performed here in the past vouch for the intimacy it provides with the audience. The upstairs cafe which offers a view of Dahlonega's public square, has a delightful range of traditional, soul food and refreshments like burgers, wraps and soups, coffees, beers and wines. So in case you are too early for a show, or looking for an after-show hangout, you know where you can head to spend some time. The shows are very popular, and due to limited space, the tickets sell out quicker that you'd expect. So make sure you call ahead for reservations.

Some of their specialty steaks are the Cajun NY Strip, served with crawfish cream sauce and the Surf N' Turf with its topping of three sautéed garlic shrimp. On Fridays and Saturdays between 6p and 9p, you can enjoy live performances by the in-house musician.
