Run by the students of Wesleyan University, the WestCo Cafe is the venue for concerts by indie rock and hardcore punk bands. Home of the Eclectic Society, the first fraternity at the Wesleyan University and the oldest local fraternity in the United States, the Eclectic House was built in 1907 on the designs of the famed architect Henry Bacon. The classic architecture, with the majestic white columns that shelter the entrance, is in itself a sight to behold. Built with Classical Revival style, the Wadsworth Mansion is a historic venue to host some amazing events. The mansion and its surrounding property has an area of 270 acres (109.26 hectares) and has been built between 1900 to 1917. With lush greenery in the background, this mansion seems to have a rural look. This gorgeous building is available on rental basis for private events like weddings and parties. There are a lot of local events which also take place at this beautiful venue. The mansion also conducts guided tours for the public who wish to get acquainted with the mansion's history.
New Britain Rock Cats are the Eastern League AA affiliate of the Minnesota Twins Major League Baseball franchise. Their regular season runs from April to August.

Trinity-on-Main is a lovely live music venue in New Britain. The venue is housed inside the former, 19th-century Trinity United Methodist Church and is an architectural wonder.
Established in 1931 as the Pulaski Democratic Club, it was and still is the cultural and social hub of the town's Polish community. Regular concerts, dance shows and other events are hosted at the Pulaski Club. It has a spacious hall which can be rented for various occasions.
The Curtis Memorial Library is located in the center of Meriden across from the city hall. It was the main public library of the city of Meriden, Connecticut. The library was designed by architect Richard Williams in the Classical Revival style. The century-old marble Greek Revival Curtis Memorial building now houses the Augusta Curtis Cultural Center.
The campus of Central Connecticut State University boasts several well-maintained facilities that enrich campus life, be it academically or otherwise. The William H. Detrick Gymnasium is one such facility. Opened in 1965, this multi-purpose arena occupies a prominent position in the university's sports life.
