A long 104-mile (167.37-kilometer) stretch of properly marked walk way, Heart of England Way links the Cotswold Way to the Staffordshire Way. Heart of England Way is the best means of exploring the rich ambiance and environment of the countryside. The walker is greeted with a variety of habitat and the path follows a curving route through gently undulating farmland and lowland heath, woodland and riverside paths. The route is managed by the Heart of England Way Association, which aims at providing all the walkers a wholesome experience and promoting the rich heritage of the surrounding environment.
Located in West Midlands, Herald Way Marsh supports a wide range of habitats and has also been designated as a site of Specific Scientific Interest in Coventry. The site is also a Local Natural Reserve and contains a range of wetland communities which are scarce in the county. A local Nature Reserve in Kingshurst, Yorks Wood are deep, dark and full of adventure. Located on the banks of River Cole, these woods spread across a huge area and provide an excellent opportunity for camping and hiking. Situated in the Kingfisher Country Park, the York Woods are considered to be the best camping grounds by the locals around. The forest is also house to some of the most beautiful fauna. The bluebells cover the forest floor during the summers and Wood Anemone, Celandine etc. are seen during Spring. The woods are also home to various bird species, which makes this a great spot for bird watching as well. Head out for some fun with nature.
Situated just north of Warwick, a visit to Hatton Country World is a great day out for the whole family.
