Established in 1865, Providence Presbyterian Church is one of the oldest places of worship in Burlington. The majestic church building was constructed in a mix of numerous architectural styles and remains unchanged till date. The St. Mary's Episcopal Church is a lovely church established in 1703. The church building has undergone restorations in the past. The old building was replaced with a new one in 1854. The new building of St. Mary's Episcopal is spread over an area of 6.2 acres (2.5 hectares) and is built with the Gothic Revival style of architecture. The beautiful exteriors and warm interiors of the church will take you back to the olden times. Regular services and all other religious ceremonies are still conducted at the church.
The Church of the Sacred Heart is a Catholic congregation that welcomes members of all faiths and backgrounds. Constructed in 1889, it showcases a mesmerizing Romanesque Revival school of architecture. The exterior features two square towers and hexagonal domes with crosses on the top, while the interiors are replete with a chapel, beautiful altar, 24 stained-glass windows and religious art. They offer weekly masses and services.
