People of all ages flock to the old 1860s European settlement (Brenham) to visit this famous little creamery. Founded in the early 1900s, its reputation has grown over the years while its secrets have remained hidden behind the cool dairy walls. Named for the beautiful Texas state flower, the creamery makes some of the best ice creams ever produced. Take the guided tour and you will be able to verify that fact yourself. The gift shop is a fun place to shop, but the best part is the free scoop of your favorite blend. It is the perfect way to top off a day at this classic ice cream landmark.
The whole family will strike oil with a visit to this ranch. It is a great place to spend a relaxing and fun day. Small and large groups can enjoy pony rides, paddle boats, swimming, fishing, miniature golf, train rides and other outdoor activities in wide-open spaces. Kids will definitely love the petting zoo, stockyard maze, Indian village, milking cows and riding in hay wagons. The Huntsville State Park is a natural wonder sprawled over 2083 acres (843 hectares) and encompasses Lake Raven. Search for wildflowers and explore hidden trails amid tall pines. Head to the lake to swim, canoe or fish and camp here overnight at one of the campsites. This park is home to animals like opossums, white-tailed deer, fox squirrels and raccoons.
Imagine free-falling from 13,500 feet or tandem jumping with an experienced diver at 13,000 feet. Your blood will tingle with excitement as you feel the wind rush by, no matter which diving thrill you prefer. Several diving levels are available. First, you will go through a six-hour ground school before proceeding on to other levels where you learn to jump safely with experienced skydiving instructors. You will be pulling your own ripcord before you know it. Be sure and ask about catching all your exciting moments on video -- you never know when you might need proof of your bravery!
