Get up-close-and-personal with a pack of gray wolves at the Seacrest Wolf Preserve. Owned by Cynthia and Wayne Watkins, this 400-acre (161-hectare) property is the habitat of this endangered species of wolves. It is one of the only places in the world where humans can interact with wolves and foxes in a protected environment. Take a tour of the farm for glimpses of Arctic foxes, skunks and raccoons as well.
Built in 1857, the Moss Hill United Methodist Church is one of the city's oldest structures. It is said to be a sanctuary of prayer and worship for many young men during the Civil War. The construction of this church was made from the center of a pine wood tree and it remains beautifully restored. It features on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Joseph W. Russ Jr. House is an eminent historic site in Marianna, Florida. It is undoubtedly one of the most visually enchanting homes in the city. If sources are to be believed, it is also one of the most haunted! There have been actual pictures of the tower, where a shadow of a figure appears. In the battle of Mariana, several men were wounded and killed at this site. As time passed, the house lost its rich glory and became a mysterious and gloomy place. At present, the house is publicly owned but the ghost stories continue. Haunted or otherwise, it is a must visit.
