    »Mountain Perks Espresso Bar & Cafe

    Located right in the center of the town, the Mountain Perks Espresso Bar & Cafe makes for a warm and cozy escape in Bryson City.  Run by Jeff and Pam Pulley's family, the place attracts several locals and tourists with its delicious fare and hot brews. They have a wide range of coffees to select from apart from snacks, soups and salads. If you are tired from all the sports and outdoor activities, try their energizing raspberry bars or fresh fruit slices. If chocolate is your kind of taste nothing would match upto their Triple Chocolate Brownie. The owners of the place are always around and their friendly treatment renders a jovial atmosphere to the setting. All in all, your hunger pangs are sure to be soothed with a visit to the Mountain Perks Espresso Bar & Cafe.

    Quaint and retaining an old world charm, Soda Pops has a very old american feel to it. You can sample some lip smacking candies, malts and shakes here. Their coca cola fixation is the major eye catcher, as coke symbols can be viewed on every imaginable surface of the parlor. The custom blended ice creams include flavors like White Russian, Toffee Coffee, Cinnamon etc. Worth visiting for all those with a sweet tooth and for those who want to travel back in time, when long skirts and bow ties were the trend.

    Joey's Pancake House is a landmark in Maggie Valley. Patrons make a dash for this breakfast haunt as they serve the most soft and buttery blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes. Besides this you can also go for egg preparations served according to your preference. Team this with meat cuts, and fresh baked biscuits for the sweet tooth. The kid's menu consists of miniature pancakes. Pancake mix is also available here in a two pound bag, a quick fix meal for all the passing hikers.

    Who would not want a pitcher of beer after a hard day on the rapids. The Pourover is a great bar at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, that offers not only some chilled drinks but also a merry time. The entertainment schedule here consists of televisions and live musical performances. Some of the best brews are available here. The deck at the bar also provides a stage for performers to sing and for patrons to dance. So get out of that boat and climb down to the Pourover.
