»Cavendish Visitor Information Centre

Cavendish served as an inspiration for Lucy Maud Montgomery while she wrote the famed novel, Anne of Green Gables. Today, you can visit the actual Green Gables farm or the birth place of Montgomery. Interpretive programs are offered and visitors can venture on the trails described in the book. Avonlea Village, the setting of the novel, welcomes thousands of people from all over the world who are eager to experience life on Prince Edward Island 100 years ago. Still, Cavendish offers many things to do unrelated to Anne of Green Gables. The beaches that line Cavendish are perfect for a stroll or a swim and families can spend a day at one of the theme parks or water parks. Stop by the Information Centre for more details on activities in Cavendish.
