If you want to know where the best place to meet a beautiful lady or gentleman is, this is it. Cheetah is the most exclusive club in St. Louis, as only the most well-dressed people get inside the door. The club is located in the Washington Avenue nightclub neighborhood and is considered to be the best of the bunch, according to newspaper surveys. The wait at the bar can be lengthy, but your frustration will melt away once you hit the dance floor. The music-mixes sound great, and no expense has been spared on the pounding sound system. All three floors of the club contain a dance stage and bar.

Facing Washington Avenue on one side and North 14th Avenue on the other side, this adequately sized night club features a spectacular world menu that ranges from items such as Mussels Pernod to chicken and waffles. In addition to the eclectic menu, the drinks are out of this world. Locals make treks from across town for their special absinthe blend. The atmosphere is modern, chic, and cool, with blue lights and featured artwork that adds to the mellow feel. The club is split into two sections which allows for two different musical experiences to occur at the same time without sound traveling. Lola's is a groovy place to be.

Antoine Soulard, one of the original proprietors of the historic Soulard neighborhood in south St. Louis, was a native of New Orleans. The Cajun zest was definitely not lost in transition to the north, and the 1860's Hard Shell Café substantiates the Delta legacy. The café is one of 3 sites conjoined at the kitchen, with the 1860's Saloon and Geyer House providing diverse experiences. The Saloon has a tavern feel, complete with a house band. A dinner at the Hard Shell energizes the evening with the band gratis. And don't be fooled by the rugged facade. Let's just say that after indulging in the crawfish etouffee and the jalepeno cornbread, it's a wrap. You'll be back.
Thanks to live music, this popular hangout is probably known more for fun than food, but that does not mean you will not be impressed with the culinary results. Do not expect an extensive menu, although you will be more than satisfied with one of the delicious burgers, the Philly cheese steak sandwich or one of a variety of salads. The beer selection is impressive, with domestic choices around. The simple menu at Hammerstone's is actually quite impressive. Overall, it is a good place to unwind with friends or enjoy a casual date, but you will probably want to go elsewhere for a serious business meeting or a true romantic dinner.
Hard Rock Cafes all over the world maintain a distinct character—the use of wood and display of all the fine spirits and drinks offered and the guitars all over the place. Rock music and legendary and contemporary rock artists are worshiped and find a place on the walls of the cafe. The shop sells merchandise and memorabilia, that could be the best gifts or souvenirs. A spacious patio with umbrellas over tables of four is the best for enjoying a drink with some fresh air. A combination of American and Mexican varieties are available at the restaurant, where the theme of the cafe continues. Rock Concerts and performances are held here and the spaces are also available for private events.
