"Betrayal" is regarded as one of Pinter's greatest works and a masterpiece of modern theater. The playwright tells the story of a love affair in reverse, beginning with the meeting of two lovers after the end of the affair and traveling back through the course of their relationship. Emma and Jerry carry on a seven-year love affair, thinking that Emma's husband (and Jerry's best friend) Robert is unaware. It turns out they were wrong. Robert knew all along, but did nothing. As the story moves backwards in time, from the end of the affair to its beginning, the complicated layers of the love triangle peel away, revealing startling truths about the many ways people can betray each other.

Palo Alto Players presents the classic myth of Orpheus and Eurydice and give it a contemporary spin, as seen through the eyes of its heroine. After a tragic accident on her wedding day, Eurydice travels to the underworld where she is reunited with her much-loved father. Guided by a chorus of talking stones, Eurydice must learn to accept the harsh rules of death as she struggles with a new language and the haunting memories of her beloved husband. With ingenious plot twists and breathtaking visual effects, "Eurydice" is a poignant love story about life, loss and unthinkable choices. Jeffrey Lo directs this production, based on the play by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize Nominee, Sarah Ruhl.
