Everyone is getting ready for the big party in the Platt family's garden, and while the tent may have gone up smoothly, everything else is falling apart. Teddy and Trish Platt's marriage is on the rocks thanks to Teddy's affair, and the arrival of a sultry French film star isn't helping things. And Jo, Teddy's mistress, discovers that their secret affair isn't so secret after all in this British farce from award-winning playwright Alan Ayckbourn ("The Norman Conquests", "Bedroom Farce"). Watch the miscommunications and hurt feelings mount up along with the storm clouds in this hilarious story with plenty of heart. And while you're watching the actors scurry onto the stage, keep in mind that this play has a twist: it's being performed at the exact same time, and with the same cast, as another play, "House". "House" also follows the Platt family on the same day, but tells a different story. Ayckbourn wrote both plays to stand alone and be seen in any order, so if you want more of the Platt's misadventures, see the description for details.

Follow the Platt family, Teddy, Trish and their daughter Sally, on what may be the worst day of their lives. Teddy and Trish's marriage is breaking up, thanks to Teddy's affair with his neighbor Jo. And politically-minded Sally is in for a rude awakening when a local politician stops by for lunch. This British farce from award-winning playwright Alan Ayckbourn ("The Norman Conquests", "Bedroom Farce") is full of laughs, as well as bittersweet and thought-provoking moments. It also has a twist -- this play is being performed at the exact same time, and with the same cast, as another play, "Garden". "Garden" also follows the Platt family on the same day, but tells a different story. Ayckbourn wrote both plays to stand alone and be seen in any order, so if you want more of the Platt's hilarious misadventures, see the description for details.
