Wooden chairs and beams with dark walls make for a cozy atmosphere. Business people from the nearby offices are often seen dining here at lunchtime. The menu is in English as well as Greek, and features traditional Greek fare such as Taramosalata dip. You may also choose from a wide range of sea food or pick a dish from the blackboard menu.

The menu includes pasta dishes, hearty soups, with light meat dishes available in the summer.
Part of the Canberra Southern Cross Club, Henry's is in a prominent location south of the city. Family friendly, the bistro is stylish and modern with seating for 250 people. A licensed bar and club facilities cater for adults while children can play video games. Choose from the great selection of steaks, seafood and pasta or try the famous Henry's Burger.

Indian Affair has a very devoted clientele. Simply decorated, this licensed restaurant is large enough for group dining or functions, yet offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Offering traditional North Indian cuisine, the menu includes a selection of curries, tandoori and vindaloo. The food is freshly prepared and aromatic with an excellent selection of accompanying rice, Indian breads and traditional side-dishes.
With a long history of providing quality service to Canberra, Golden King Chinese Restaurant is under new management and promises more great value. The classic Chinese decor in oriental reds, complete with potted plants and a fish tank, includes lazy susans on the tables for convenient dish sharing. The Hong Kong chef provides a range of Chinese cuisine and Malaysian specialties, such as Laksa. Choose from sweet and sour, chow mein, beef, pork, poultry, seafood or vegetable dishes.
Phoenix Garden stands out from its surroundings with its wooden facade and large red and white Chinese symbols. Inside is classic Chinese opulence with a mirror-backed licensed bar, red flock wallpaper, crystal chandelier and gold fish. Service is quick and the atmosphere is friendly. Specializing in Chinese and Malaysian cuisine, the menu includes a variety of laksa, Malaysian curries, Char Kway Teow and Hokkein noodles. Chinese dishes include Shan Tung Chicken, Mongolian Lamb, Chicken Tempura, seafood and vegetable dishes.
The owners have spent 21 years in the diplomatic service and this is reflected in the cuisine of the award-winning, Curtin Greater Indian & International Restaurant. Enter a different world as you go downstairs into the Aladdin's cave exotically decorated with traditional Indian art. Here, you can relish exotic flavors from different regions including Indian, Indonesian and English dishes. There is also an extensive vegetarian selection available.
Although the restaurant, Saigon Restaurant caters to 100 people, dining can still be intimate as the space is divided into a number of rooms, separated by carved wooden screens. Choose from a selection of beef, lamb, chicken, seafood, vegetarian, Vietnamese curries, stir-fries or combination dishes. Or try the house specialty "Firepots", a combination of seafood, meat and vegetables.
Mitzi's is the place to go on the south side of Canberra for genuine Austrian meals. The large airy restaurant, with wonderful views of the Brindabella Hills, is decorated with bright posters of Austria. The menu includes many traditional favorites, such as Kasshler Rippe (smoked pork) and Vegetable Strudel as well as schnitzels and pasta. Finish with Mitzi's own superb Austrian coffee and "Creme Johann Strauss".
