If you are fascinated with old structures and beautiful buildings then, you will surely be enchanted with Clare Priory. Situated near the Clare Castle on the River Stour, Augustinian order's English house was built in the year 1248. After the suppression in 1538, Irish Augustinian Friars bought this house and handed over to its origins. One of the best conserved sites, it is now a Parish and a Retreat Center. The priory is open to visitors for taking stroll in the beautiful surroundings or people who was to spend peaceful time close to god away from their busy city lives.
