    »McCambridge Park War Memorial

    The McCambridge Park War Memorial was built to honor the American soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the World War II. Completed in 1969, this memorial is a tribute that preserves the memories of those lost in that tragic war, so that generations to come will continue to honor them.     This tasting room features award-winning wines from the D'Argenzio Winery, which focuses on the region's three primary red varietals: Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon. They make their wines with simple Old World methods, such as gently pressing the grapes in a hand-operated 100-year-old press, aging the wine between 12 and 22 months, and using only the very finest French and American oak barrels.

    Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery is a somber and beautiful cemetery. There are a few celebrates buried here, including Oliver Hardy and Curly-Joe De Rita. The Cemetery was founded in 1923 and has several impressive stone architecture and statues. The Cemetery is known for housing the Portal of Folded Wings Shrine to Aviation.

    »Portal of Folded Wings Shrine to Aviation

    The Portal of Folded Wings Shrine to Aviation is a beautiful 75-foot tall marble memorial, located on the eastern edge of the Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery. In 1924, the structure was opened to be an entrance to the cemetery and was used in concerts. When the airport opened an idea was created that to dedicate the Portal to aviation. In 1953, the Portal became a shrine to honor those who worked in aviation.

    »Nickelodeon Animation Studios

    Children will go crazy over the zany colorful building of the Nickelodeon Animation Studios. Unfortunately, the studio does not offer tours, but it's a perfect place to take a family picture. The roof is decorated with famous Nickelodeon cartoon characters and plastic green "slime."

    »Burbank City Hall

    The Burbank City Hall is historical and beautiful building that houses the local government. It was built between 1941 and 1943 in a Modernist style. Inside City Hall there are 20 types of marbles and 2 murals created by Hugo Ballin. When you enter City hall's lobby you can see a large mural that honors Burbank's past with pictures of the entertainment industry and airplanes.

    »NBC Studios

    This is the West Coast nerve center of the National Broadcasting Company. Most famous as the home of The Tonight Show, hosted by Jay Leno, this sprawling studio complex also offers compelling walking tours through sound stages and other facilities. Although reservations are always good, tickets for the NBC Studios tour are pretty easy to come by.

    The magic begins at Disney Studios, the international headquarters of the famous company. Unfortunately, Disney does not offer tours and you can't wander the private property on your own. However, you can still admire it's beautiful buildings from outside. Everything about the buildings has the whimsical style of Disney, from the Mickey Mouse heads on the top of the fences to the 20 foot-tall Seven Dwarfs statues holding up the roof.

    Los Angeles is known for glitz, glamor and luxury amenities. The Los Angeles Equestrian Center is no exception to the rule. It offers world class facilities to the horses, riders, and the audience as well. It even features conference and banquet facilities. The Polo Room is specially designed with a pane glass wall, for those who can't bear to be separated from horses too long. For a very reasonable price you can schedule private or group horse riding lessons or go on a trail.

Its "Learn to Skate" program will teach you the absolute basics of ice skating, while its advanced classes are taught by world-class coaches. The center also offers a variety of youth, college, and adult hockey programs, as well as a pro shop for all of your ice-cutting needs. If you don't like ice skating than go bowling. With 24 bowling lanes and a video arcade, you can go for a single night or join a league.

    One of the most noted places in the world, the Warner Brothers Studio has played home to some of the entertainment worlds most famous comedy and drama series. The studio has numerous sets for various scenes all of which have excellent facilities, props and sound and light systems. On location here are also craft and set shops where patrons can purchase memorabilia. There is a tour of the entire studio which takes guests on a journey into the entertainment world with guides who are well versed with the place.

    »Mount Sinai Memorial Park

    This serene burial ground is sculpted out of a beautiful, green countryside, where leafy canopies, birds and flowers add to the sense of calm and spirituality. The top choice among local Jews for memorials, this cemetery is also the final resting place of many Hollywood and TV stars: Norman Fell, Lee J. Cobb and Danny Arnold, to name a few. More recent burials include famous journalist Daniel Pearl and producer Gregg Hoffman. Jewish culture and tradition is reflected in the park's architecture and design. Call for more details.
