Waterfalls abound at this beautiful Atlanta park, where a variety of trails lead to many wonderful remote destinations. Trails range in length from one-third of a mile to a full mile, and none are strenuous. Some treks involve crossing creeks, however, so come prepared to get wet if you misstep. The Cochran Shoals Nature Center houses a number of wild animals, including a mountain lion. Take Highway 20 to Fairburn Road (exit 92) and turn left. Turn right at Cochran Mill Road (Highway 70). The road leads into the park.
Set in the rolling countryside of Fayette County, it's hard to believe this bucolic facility lies only about 15 minutes south of Hartsfield International Airport. The location is so convenient, business travelers have actually been known to slip in a quick round at this par-3 course during layovers. The course plays 1150 yards (1052 meters) with narrow fairways that open onto wide approach areas and tricky greens. Carts and clubs are available for rent, as well as a driving range for quick warm-ups.

Located in a secluded clearing on the banks of a picturesque lake, The Cabin Path offers a wonderful outdoor experience. It has a log cabin that offers a comfortable place to camp, alongwith several hiking trails for the adventurous. Visitors can explore the surrounding countryside rich with rhododendrons, wildflowers and deer. the lake is a pleasant place for leisurely fishing. A walk through the maze built here is supposed to calm your nerves. Numerous activities are also held from time to time.
Opened since 1986, White Oak Golf Course was built as a tournament golf course. This is a 36-hole golf facility which features 2 different lay outs. The Old Course has a traditional lay out while the Seminal Course features a modern designs. The park features beautiful green landscapes and well maintained water bodies making it one of the best golf course of the region.
Established since 1999, Summer Grove Golf Club is a beautiful 18hole golf course. This golf course is known for its scenic greenery, well maintained wet lands and a home to various animal species. A little park located not far from the city center, Welcome All offer exciting recreational facilities. One of the city's largest recreational parks, Dellinger Park is a haven for sports enthusiasts offering an extensive array of facilities. Spanning 111 acres (44.92 hectares), the park offers as many as 14 tennis courts, six softball fields, a football field, basketball courts, an olympic-size swimming pool and even a miniature golf course. The Kedron Recreation and Aquatic Center is a sports facility that is open year-round to the public. It features two heated swimming pools, a playground, activity rooms, an inline hockey rink and an indoor volleyball court. The facility is also fully staffed and offers all the comforts of a luxury gym at no cost!
Years ago, the Silver Comet Rail Line took passengers back and forth between Atlanta and Birmingham, Alabama. Now, however, the abandoned line has carried passengers only on foot or on bicycle. This paved trail runs for 13 miles (21 kilometers) through Cobb County and continues into Paulding and Polk Counties. When completed, the trail will extend the entire length of the Atlanta-Birmingham line. Pets are allowed if leashed. You can access this scenic trail at multiple locations; just call for directions.
