Horse fanatics will not want to miss this poultry farm turned riding arena. Whether you're an experienced rider, an amateur, or just want to see some horses then this is the place to be. Equestrians may stay the night on the grounds and their horses are welcome as well. Left your horse at home? No worries. Visit the riding school where you can ride great horses into the sunset or whatever suits you.
This expansive open-air stadium is the training ground of the popular FC Sachsen Leipzig soccer team. With a capacity of over 18,000 persons, and a variety of amenities, the stadium is able to accommodate more than just soccer training workshops. From music events to sporting matches, it hosts a range of activities throughout the year.
If you're interested in the history of aviation and/or the automotive industry, Da Capo is the place to be. The museum showcases old models of planes and cars like 1910's "Ford T," 1950's "Chevorlette Corvette," and so much more. You can also watch films celebrating the long history of the industry too.
Wide open lawns and an abundance of trees make this park and ideal place to spend a sunny summer's day. There are many bike paths and trails that provide a sanctuary for joggers who long to escape the busy downtown streets. The park is also home to an open air stage and music pavilion that host a range of events throughout the spring and summer. If hunger strikes after a long walk, stop by the Parkcafe for a tasty snack or beverage.
'Eisarena' is a sports stadium. It holds hockey matches including ice hockey. Also winter sports are held here. Join some social club of the place and keep yourself updated with all the sporting events that keep taking place.
At Bootsverleih am Wildpark you can rent out row boats, canoes, and kayaks. They also run guided tours for groups on a motor boat of the surrounding area. There is lots of natural beauty to be discovered whether you decide to do a tour or explore the park on your own. Landlocked Leipzig has a surprisingly large amount of waterways consisting of rivers and canals linked up to some of the man-made lakes.
