Uriah Heep was formed in England around 1969 and have been seminal in the development of prog rock. There is only one remaining original member of the band, Mick Box, who plays guitar. While the group was known in its early days to prefer lyrical content relating to magic - its biggest hit being "Wizard" - Uriah Heep has since put aside mystical overtures for head-banging anthems. Though most of the band's members have left the group, the founding member remains and with a large group of dedicated fans, who have stuck with the band over the years, Uriah Heep continues to play sold-out shows around the world.

The Theatre at Meiley-SwallowMarch 07, 2015 8:00 PM

Naperville, IL 60540
He left audiences in stitches with "Barefoot in the Park" and "The Odd Couple", and Neil Simon turns the comedy dial up to 11 in "Rumors". A farce in the grand door-slamming, ridiculous-lie-piled-atop-ridiculous-lie tradition, "Rumors" starts swirling when Charlie, the Deputy Mayor of New York, invites his society pals to a swanky black-tie party at his townhouse. What could go wrong? Well, Charlie shooting himself in the earlobe certainly sends the action in a decidedly wacky direction. And his wife is nowhere to be found. One comic mishap after another whips up this frothy and funny evening of misunderstanding, intrigue and (yep) rumors. This production of "Rumors" is put on by BrightSide Theatre at Meiley-Swallow Theatre in Naperville.
