This epic, award-winning Broadway musical from the creators of "Les Misérables" tells the tale of the tragic romance between a strong-willed Vietnamese girl and an American G.I. during the last days of the Vietnam War. Their struggles to find each other over the ensuing years end in tragedy for her and a fighting chance for the child he never knew he had. The powerful love story is a modern retelling of Puccini's "Madame Butterfly" and boasts such songs as "I Still Believe," "Sun and Moon," "The American Dream," "Why, God, Why?" and "I'd Give My Life for You." Nominated for 11 Tonys in its original run, it took home three for its stars Jonathan Pryce, Lea Salonga and Hinton Battle.

The Silk Road, a prehistoric trade route, connected the most advanced cities of the time since 500 BCE. It extended over 4,600 miles from China through Central Asia to the Middle East and ended in the ancient Roman Empire. Exotic spices, silk and all kinds of goods weren't the only things exchanged on this road - new ideas and advancements were transposed as well. The exhibit Traveling the Silk Road showcases the journeys merchants went on and how this trading route changed many cultures and their understanding of each other.

The ultra versatile electronic musician RJD2, or Ramble John Krohn, has experimented with several different styles of music production - even uncharacteristically releasing an album featuring Krohn playing instruments and singing on nearly ever single track. The musician originally rose to fame as a proficient turntable maestro, but as technology and musical use of the turntable was deemed slightly outdated, the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania based musician has started computerized electronic music composition to keep his sound relevant.
