Sprawled over an area of 17.20 acres (6.96 hectares), this park is built around the charmingly serene Lake Carleton. A favorite haunt among the locals, the Lake Carleton Park has facilities for picnicking, fishing, pedal boating, and seasonal ice-skating. The park also plays host to some community events. The 110-acre (44.5-hectare) park is home to a range of facilities, like a Community Center, an outdoor amphitheater, an aquatic park, four tennis courts, three soccer fields and a band shell. Best known for power generation this powerhouse, is a National Historic Landmark. Access to certain areas are restricted for security reasons, but a visit to this place to watch the outer functions of the powerhouse is a great idea.
St. Joe's Park is the park associated with the Historic Saint Joseph Catholic Church. The main attraction of the park is the hauntingly beautiful cemetery within the park. The Golden Jubilee altar also stands within, a popular venue for parishioner's weddings.
