    »David Nail

    October 26, 2014 7:00 PM

Born and raised in Missouri, David Nail was presented with several offers to play baseball in college but chose to turn them down in the hopes of pursuing a music career. He moved to Nashville to explore his love of county music and was signed to MCA Nashville in 2002, when he released his self-titled debut album. Nail's music is very reflective of contemporary country styles, with lap-steel acoustic ballads as well as more uptempo, rock and roll-influenced tracks populating his albums. On his 2007 album, I'm About to Come Alive, Nail branched out to work some big names in the country music world, including Miranda Lambert, Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts.

    »An Iliad

    October 26, 2014 7:00 PM

Long before it was a book or even a poem, "The Iliad" was a rollicking, raunchy and altogether enthralling tale that people couldn't get out of their heads. Acclaimed Cincinnati actor Bruce Cromer has recaptured the spirit of the early epic in "An Iliad", a one-man show with musical accompaniment. In this celebration of storytelling, Cromer brings to life the struggle between Achilles and Hector over the beautiful Helen, and the resulting battle and fall of Troy. In this lean, muscular performance, Cromer conjures the fury of the gods as he explores mankind's attraction to violence, destruction and chaos.

»Twiztid with Special Guests Kung Fu Vampire / PWD / Neurotic November

    October 26, 2014 7:00 PM

Protégé–nouna person under the patronage, protection, or care of someone interested in his or her career or welfare. The Michigan-based horrorcore hip-hop duo Twiztid is considered a Protégé of the notoriously unwholesome group Insane Clown Posse. While the thought of any sort of mentorship under the care of Insane Clown Posse is slightly disheartening, it happened back in 1997 and this quasi-apprenticeship helped foster the budding duo during its formative years. By bringing Twiztid on tour with them and offering them a recording contract, the Insane Clown Posse exposed Twiztid to a new generation of fans and unsurprisingly the group was accepted with open arms by the horrorcore masses. The duo is now a go-to act for individuals that like to paint their faces with black and white make-up, wear over-sized black clothing and listen to strange music that a good amount of people find difficult to listen to.

    »Richard Wagner: Siegfried Act 1

    October 26, 2014 3:00 PM

Throughout Richard Wagner's very full life he managed to delve into conducting, composing, directing and essay writing. His talent and intelligence led him to become one of the most well respected operatic composers of his generation. Wagner was not impervious to baneful human distractions, however, and during his early adult life he managed to rack up an impressive amount of debt. Luckily, one of Wagner's biggest fans was King Ludwig II of Bavaria. Using the power of the crown, the King managed to settle all of Wagner's debts, even gainfully employing him as a composer. During this period of time, Wagner wrote some of his most impressive work, although due to scandal, Wagner had to leave Bavaria and move to Switzerland.
