Trolltunga (Troll's tongue) is a piece of rock that stands horizontally out of a mountain side above Skjeggedal in Odda. With its 350-m-drop down, you will find the most breathtaking view of the Skjeggedal beneath and the surrounding mountains as well as experiencing an amazing feeling of "sitting on top of the world." The hike to Trolltunga takes approximately seven hours round-trip. An additional hour is added if you want to see Preikestolen (The Pulpit Rock) as well. Remember to bring comfortable footwear and a packed lunch.
Vørringsfossen is the most popular waterfall in Norway. It is located in the beautiful surroundings of Eidfjord in Måbødalen (Måbø Valley). It is 182 m tall with a direct drop of 145 m. You can follow a path from the highway leading to the foot of the waterfall. This trip takes approximately one hour in total. During the summer, the Troll Train (Trolltoget) also passes by the waterfall on the route through Måbødalen between Måbø and Fossatromma. The ride takes around 20 minutes. Bring your own picnic and enjoy the wonderful surroundings of Måbødalen and Vøringsfossen.
