    »Cyrano De Bergerac

    July 24, 2014 8:00 PM

During his day, the French playwright Cyrano De Bergerac was one of the more formidable talents of his generation. The 17th century dramatist was an extremely loquacious individual and while he maintained an air of confidence, he was often ridiculed for his extremely large nose and became known for sparking duels whenever the subject of his nose was brought up in a negative light. In 1897, French playwright Edmond Rostand wrote a piece that sought to properly explain the man behind the nose. Cyrano De Bergerac revolves around the title character and the target of his affection, a woman named Roxane with whom he is afraid to talk to. Through cleaver games he manages to capture her attention, but matters become progressively complicated as unwelcome characters are cast into his elaborate scheme.

    »!!!(Chk Chk Chk)

    July 24, 2014

Anyone who has seen the dance punk band !!! (chk chk chk) will openly attest to the boisterous nature of the band's live show. Charismatic lead singer Nic Offer is a spectacle unto himself and his swanky moves nearly eclipse the band's sound. Formed in Sacramento, California in 1996, the members of !!! are veterans of the indie rock scene and although none of their albums have mounted much commercial success, nearly every release is quietly praised by both mainstream and independent critics.

    »Tameca Jones

    July 24, 2014 10:30 PM

Songstress Tameca Jones is one of the few musicians to be born and raised in Texas' famous and musically rich city of Austin. Referred to by locals as the "Tina Turner of jazz" due to her trademark style, Jones sings easy listening lounge as well as upbeat soulful pop with equal success. Though only present on the music circuit for the past three years and without a label or an album, Jones has opened for the likes of Smokey Robinson and David Sanborn. Jones usually performs with her quartet backing band, which is just as adept at switching genres as Jones herself.
