    »Howick Historic Walk

    This is a self-guided walk following the route laid out in "An Historic Walk Through Howick", available from Auckland Visitor Information Center. The first European settlers arrived in the area in 1847. They were soldiers and Howick was first set up as a settlement. The walk starts and ends at All Saints Church, a beautiful church built in 1847. The buildings on the walk are privately owned and are not generally open to the public. Combine the walk with a visit to Howick Historical Village.
