    Pick up those new skates that you abandoned after the first slip and head to Flyers Skate Zone. The Atlantic City venue conducts training sessions for skaters. Catering to those who wish to feel the breeze and those who want to improve their ice-hockey prowess alike, the Skate Zone helps everyone from normal skates, roller blades and skateboards to stay on their feet (or rather wheels).     »Carnegie Library Center

    Reopened in 2004, Carnegie Library Center was built in 1903 and served as the city's most popular library until 1985. After a big gap, the center was revamped and now functions as an educational establishment catering to a multitude of people. On site, you will find a 75-seat lecture hall, 22-seat computer lab, a multipurpose room, conference centers and seminar rooms. Operated by the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, there are several educational programs, technological training and professional development courses offered here.     The very popular Mark G. Etess Arena, located within the Trump Taj Mahal, is one of the finest sporting venues in Atlantic city. Take a look at the array of artifacts on display, from postcards to photographs to costumes and the like. There's even a section devoted to the timeless American institution, the Miss America Pageant and another to the classic mascot Mr. Peanut. Be sure to get your free Heinz pickle and a copy of the museum's historical video in the gift shop.

    »Lucy the Elephant

    This proud, well-loved historical monument has been delighting visitors since its conception in 1881. South Atlantic City landowner James Vincent de Paul Lafferty, Jr. had this mammoth beast constructed as a way to attract visitors and prospective buyers to his properties. Lucy stands 65 feet (20 meters) high and contains many rooms inside. It also sports a spiral staircase to the top of the edifice.
