Home of the Dallas Ice Hawks, this ice rink offers public skating sessions, hockey and figure skating schools, and hockey leagues for all ages and skill levels. The rink is also available for rent for birthday parties and special events.
With a capacity of 7,500 seats, Alfred J. Loos Field House is the seventh-largest arena in United States and undoubtedly a very well-maintained one. This former home to Dallas Chaparrals is the official arena of Brookahven college. A multi packed arena, plays host to the Dallas Defenders in the Premier Basketball League and promises entertainment right down to the wire.

Take to the ice in the middle of the Galleria Dallas. This unique ice skating rink is located in the center of the mall and is surrounded by four levels of grand shopping. The Center offers "broomball," beginner to advanced skating lessons, open public skating sessions, and has provisions for private parties. Rental equipment is available at a nominal charge. This is a great place for children to use up some of their inexhaustible energy or as a terrific family outing.
This exciting miniature golf facility is located in North Dallas and sports three challenging eighteen-hole courses. Each course provides different challenge levels for golfers of all ages. In addition to golf, visitors can take a shot at laser tag or put the accelerator to the floor in a competition go-cart. Without a doubt, art exhibits and performances at the University of Texas at Dallas have doubled in the recent past. The on-site classrooms and bulletin boards have even been incorporated for exhibits by guests like Victoria Corcoran. Other artists have included those from Continental Gin Studios in Deep Ellum. Rolling Stone Magazine's Greil Marcus has been among the notable guest lecturers. UTD has also staged numerous performances by musicians such as Moscow pianist Dmitri Ratser, the Huaxia Ensemble of China, Mexico's Los Tiempos Pasados and Dallas' own Cafe Noir. Art shows are free. However, admission is usually charged for lectures, concerts, and theater events.

Your family will enjoy the great outdoors at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. It provides a tranquil place to escape the hectic city life for an afternoon. You will find untainted woods, meadows, a collection of native Texas trees, and a habitat for birds, fish, and wildlife. This preserve is connected through a series of bridges and ramps leading to a covered pavilion. You will find climbing structures and slides, plus a torpedo-shaped track ride, and a wonderful fake rock to climb.
This four hole Bermuda grass course was designed by owner Scott Erwin and built in 1992. It offers a respectable and challenging small course convenient to north central Dallas. The course features water in play and a 266-yard front tree/522 back tree yardage. There is a lighted putting green and driving range adjoining the course. Scotty's Golf Park also features a bar serving wine and beer and a snack bar restaurant with sandwiches and fried finger-foods.
