The Prairie Brass Band is a not-for-profit performing arts organization that is dedicated to the growth of the brass band movement in the Chicago area and throughout North America. PBB's 35 volunteer members travel from all over Chicago and its suburbs to attend rehearsals and performances. PBB performs about ten concerts per year in the Chicago area.
Arlington International Race Course is one of the best race courses in the world. Millions of people come every August to watch the Arlington Million Race, which has recently become a part of World Series Racing Championship. Founded more than 80 years ago, this horse race track outside of Chicago offers something special for everybody. Founded in 1957, Knights of Columbus is located close to the recreational park in Arlington Heights. The venue is used for both business as well as social meetings. You can rent the hall for corporate meetings, weddings, theater, arts, musicals etc. The hall is wheelchair accessible and has a full service bar to cater to clients' requirements for any occasion. Few of the past events held here have been Carniflex, Elysia and Becoming the Archetype.
The independent Northern League professional baseball league features 12 teams including the Schaumburg Flyers. Games are played from May to September. Several post-game fireworks shows, as well as other special events are offered.
