The St. Mary Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Lansing, Michigan. This majestic looking chapel was designed by E. A. Bond in 1913. The church features Late Gothic Revival influences, along with an intricate rose window and German made stained glass windows. The site was added to the list of National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Always a Champion statue, a bronze replica of the legendary basketball player Earvin Johnson, fondly called Magic Johnson, is located right outside the Breslin Center. Unveiled by Johnson himself in 2003, the statue stretches about 12 feet (3.65 meters) high. Designed by Omri Amrany, the sculpture depicts Johnson at the 1979 Spartan Championship game wearing his Spartan uniform.
