Considering the shortage of tables, it is no great surprise that takeout is the focus of Logan Farms, this popular deli. In fact, while the area business crowd makes it a habit to satisfy their lunchtime ham cravings here, most of the deli's business comes from selling whole, pre-cooked honey hams for family meals and special occasions. Half or full hams can be purchased by the pound and are extremely popular meal solutions. Advance ordering is recommended during holiday seasons, so do not let Christmas or Easter sneak up on you.

Think brick and wood with a cozy, rustic appeal as you enter La Madeleine French Bakery. It is worth a visit to this West Houston bakery just to get a look at the fully functioning wooden waterwheel. Manena's is as hidden as it gets, and is the epitome of the phrase hidden gem. West Houston is known for its international cuisines sprinkled about, but an Argentinean pastry shop is like a gift from a higher power. Generally known for succulent beef, Argentina is one of the world's best-kept secrets when it comes to baked goods. Get a half a dozen of Manena's Empanadas to take to your coworkers and your boss may even give you a raise. Little bit hungrier? Go for the Lomito Argentino sandwich: juicy steak, or the Choripan, the Argentinian sausage, on a fresh Baguette. Sit in the beautiful cafe for a traditional Argentinean social drink called Mate. -Adam Rosen
Scenic decor that includes a handsome limestone fireplace and a trickling pond promises diners an enchanting experience. Conveniently located near several prominent West Houston hotels, it attracts a large number of business diners, especially during lunch. But, it is certainly romantic enough for love struck couples. Contemporary dinner entrees, like the chili-crusted filet of beef with oyster mushroom and pasilla chili sauce are definitely priced well for the quality. Wines are somewhat costly but the quality is rarely disappointing.
Sometimes it takes soup to make you feel good like nothing else can. Watch nine different sporting events at a time on one of 38 TVs, two of which happen to be 118 inch projection screens. The club caters to people in their mid-twenties and up with the highest concentration of regulars hitting around 30. Meet some friends on the outside patio to listen to the live musicians who are periodically booked. The menu is not typical English fare. In fact, fish and chips may be the only vintage English dish on it. Expect to find a lot of Texas favorites like steaks, burgers, Tex-Mex and char-grilled chicken. Pricing is pleasantly affordable.
