Catfish & The Bottlemen is a British alternative rock band that rose to recognition after releasing its debut EP, Poetry & Fuel, and winning BBC Music's Unsigned Band Award in 2009. The group followed-up the critically acclaimed record with another EP, Beautiful Decay, which was released in 2010. With a fan base already in place, Catfish & The Bottlemen dropped a series of official singles with Communion Records in 2013, leading up to the release of its debut LP.

Canadian DJ and producer Jeff Abel combines hip-hop, bass music, dub and a bit of rock influence in his Excision project. Since 2004, Abel has been tinkering with various electronic styles, ultimately settling comfortably into simplistic 2-step rhythms and reverberated dubstep-esque bass blasts. Refusing to adhere to a often tranquil sonic state, Abel employs hard-hitting bass tones, propulsive drum patterns and jarring, sci-fi sounds to make his music more aggressive than a lot of his contemporaries.
